Description:
Fast-drying, hard wearing Polyurethane primer/sealer. Typical applications include sealer for chipboard, plywood, concrete floors (warehouse/ garage), concrete shuttering (internal) also for the damp proofing of dry linings and plasterwork. Can also be used for lining concrete ponds to create a waterproof barrier.
G-40 Multi-Seal is a polyurethane that hardens with moisture. It is light straw translucent in colour.
Application is normally by brush or roller. In order to achieve the necessary level of gloss and wear several coats may be applied. Re-coating can take place as soon as the surface is tack free, but should not be delayed much beyond 24 hours as inter coat adhesion problems may occur.
Application on fresh concrete is not recommended. Kovertek g-40 Multiseal is not recommended for application on to glossy substrates such as tiles, glass or metal. When applying to previously painted surfaces, all matter not fully bonded to the substrate must be removed. Test small areas of the remaining painted surface to see that the sealer will not cause lifting, wrinkling or bubbling. If any of these occur, the paint must be removed. If the coating is not attacked, sand the remaining area to dullness and clean thoroughly.
